After a great night’s rest, I found myself up and wide awake at 7AM. I was super anxious, and I immediately called Elessa’s room. Of course she was still in bed, and I knew she set her alarm at 8AM to get up and get ready. I woke her up any way and banged at her door. I said I will go across the street to Starbucks and get some yummy Caramel Brule Latte and maybe a muffin, and she better be up and going when I get back. Well, I got back and of course she was still in bed! LOL

So I said, Im going to get ready and we should plan to leave the hotel at 9am. So, we were ready by 10. hahah But that doesn’t mean we left right away either. So, we finally went on our merry way and got to the show at 11 am. Immediately we were greeted by amazing followers and the flash bulbs started flashing. It sure felt like we walked the Red Carpet. Everyone were so nice, and smiles all around, and just so friendly.

We walked around and checked out the booths, and scoped the venue. I managed to say hello to familiar faces that I always run into shows like David Klasfeld & Katy Pelegrino from OCC, Kevin James Bennett from Makeup Forever, Roque Cozzette from Kett, Vince from Alcone, Nancy from Beauty So Clean, and Danielle Fonseca from Temptu Pro. Its always nice to see these guys.

I had to gather my stuff and get ready for my first class - Wonders of Pigments presented by Naked Cosmetics, and of course, I asked Elessa if she would model for me once again. We had such a fun class, and I was so shocked to find out that I have 90 people in attendance. I was expecting maybe 25-30, but wow...90.

It was absolutely a great first day!!

The evening promised more fun, as the Makeup Artist Magazine hosted a reception party at Toronto’s Brazen Head Irish Pub. We had drinks and great food, even entertainment, and chatted with the creme de la creme of makeup biz. I was stuffed.

And as always - all great days must come to an end, but another great one lies ahead...
